my kitchen is so cozy, it's painted a deep terra cotta, and decorated with an eclectic
mix of primitives and fun collectibles....
my kitchen cabinets are hand-painted chickens, and my art work extends onto
the front of the cellar door, which is a trompe l' oel pantry-looking shelf unit.

decorating the cottage
my cottage is about 99 years old (?) and is decorated in country/primitive style with
more than enough rusty stars everywhere you look...
i started out with a huge rusty star on my porch, and now my whole house is full of them!
i love the country prim decorating style because its so warm, cozy and inviting.
my rooms are painted soft golden yellow, candlelite-hue, with warm oak accessories, shutters,
sheep, pictures, paintings, candles, Mary Englebreit trinkets, and garlands of berries everywhere.
please feel free to stop in for conversation and a hot cup of tea or coffee!

welcome to the cottage
hi!
what a gorgeous day...breezy and cool, but pleasant...
wonderful to spend time enjoying family and friends, playing
with the grandkids, eating, eating, eating,
started out today eating breakfast with my daughter, and
cuddling with grandbaby Riley... there's nothing like a few
cuddles with grandbabies to make mom's day all worthwhile.
All is good with the world when grandchildren come to play!
later in the day, a trip to look out point in the hills of Pennsylvania,
where the houses and river below look like little fly specks!
Then a delicious home made dinner of Salisbury steak, buttered carrots and
mashed potatoes and a nicely tart piece of lemon meringue pie! WOW!
what a great day......Thank God for mothers! (and grandkids)
